It's a tough way to make a living.

Clearly, I better keep my day job....

  1. These are great! I love the idea of being able to do these types of portraits in a place which is comfortable enough for the "subjects" (sorry girls) to have their personality bubble through. Do you mind posting what was used to set these up (e.g. camera, material, lighting, etc.). Thanks.

  2. Sure thing. First, 1 pair of goofy girls... hehe. I got a great camera for xmas last year - a Cannon EOS digital SLR on a tripod hooked up through Steve's computer with EOS Utility so that I could shoot with the space bar. Also, I have florescent tube photo lights on tripods with 2 umbrella diffusers. And black cloth (back side of velvet) and black towel covering the seats. My camera was set on Portrait in the EOS Utility "photo style" and focus was through the computer. Steve had set the camera on 200 or 400 ISO with apperature priority. In fact, Steve dragged out all the stuff, so I just directed the girls and hit the space bar. It was fun but it is amazing how many bad shots there are with 2 subjects. We used critical focus on the computer but still didn't get the sharpness I expected. After we finished, the girls dragged out stuffed xmas animals and shot some more. I wll post those sometime soon.

  3. Very cool, thanks for posting! You've given me a cool idea which I'll post if I can get the time to shoot.
