China Syndrome

The last China installment (I swear). Towards the end of the trip we visited the port city of Shanghai and the new-wave modern metropolis appears to have a solid handshake with its historical roots, and seems to manage growth a bit better than Beijing.

  1. Shanghai looks like a knockout. It has been the setting for several books I have read (listened) and the interconnections with eastern/western cultures seem intreging. Love the water goddess and that night picuture. What did you do to get that ambiance?

  2. Was an amazing time and found myself wondering how much more there was around the next corner. The evening picture was taken right as dusk so that may have helped it out. Also the camera has a low light slow shutter speed exposure which also assisted. That said, if you look at the detail you can tell I could have used a tripod as the hands just aren't super steady.
